Gordon Brown inaugurated the first Global Entrepreneurship Week on the 17th of November. Taking heed of this global phenomenon, Essex Entrepreneurs at Essex University hosted an exquisite evening to promote Global Entrepreneurship Week. They conveyed the benefits of entrepreneurship to the student body and others.
An exclusive screening - the 3rd in the UK - was shown of the Acton Institute's powerful and moving documentary 'The Call of the Entrepreneur'.

The East of England Development Agency (EEDA)is running a series of free events to promote the European Commission's Framework Programme 7 to SME's and LE's across the region. The most recent event in the series took place on Monday 29th September and focused on the Electronics and ICT sectors. Companies heard about the benefits of creating new product and service development partnerships and of opportunities of being introduced to new business development networks across the European Union. Each event provides information on how EEDA's FP7 support package is able to help companies apply for research and development funding grants.
