Launch Event a Success
The launch event at University Campus Suffolk - "Successful Innovation Through Collaboration" - was a great success. There were almost 70 attendees, and was very well received. We attracted several new members and a number of bodies have said they want to work with us. The keynote presentation was from Harry Berry, Managing Partner of New Venture Partners. Harry described his experiences in the recession of the 1990s and said that venture funds launched in the first or second years following a recession have been among the best performers, a clear message that now is a good time to plan a new venture.Collaborate2Innovate chairman John McMillan said the Eastern Region is not only a great generator of new ideas, but it contains a wealth of very experienced managers. If we can bring the innovators and managers together we really have the potential to create some very successful companies. This was the first event run by the current team. The team went through a vast amount of learning but we are now well geared to run future events.

Company Set Up
Collaborate2Innovate has been converted to a community interest company. This gives us a formal status and will make it easier to attract sponsorship. |
